Nothing is more inspiring than a break from the everyday to enjoy nature. For an early fall break, my husband and I recently got away for a weekend to one of our favorite places
Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN. In this idyllic setting time seems to stand still!
This is the Holly Glade Cottage Suite we stayed in. It has a definitive “you’re here to relax” design attitude. The ultimate in comfort and luxury!
Rocking chairs to view the mountains and valleys outside of the main house where breakfast and lunch are served. Dinner is served in
The Barn, Blackberry Farm’s dining venue that creates a magical epicurean experience. It has been featured in Food & Wine, Gourmet and Bon Appétit
It was a rainy Saturday morning, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying this beautiful, peaceful place. With the colors of fall at our feet, we walked and took in all the foothills of the Smokey Mountains had to offer.
A light sprinkle of rain on and off…
More beautiful views…
The smoke of the Smokey’s…
On the property there are great spots to stop, relax, and enjoy the view.
My husband checks in with the guides to find out where the best trout are for his afternoon of fly-fishing
And he caught some beauties!
My afternoon was spent at the Farmhouse Spa…facial, message, pedicure…Sooo relaxing!
The food at Blackberry Farm never disappoints. Their “Foothills Cuisine” is some of the best I have ever had. Saturday lunch was no exception!
After our relaxing weekend, I was rejuvenated and ready to return home to projects and deadlines with a little more enthusiasm and inspiration.
Thank you Blackberry Farm, we will be back again!
