Inspiration from beautiful landscape design can translate to interior design. Classical principles of design including organization of site lines, formality and stylistic periods in history are common to both landscape and interior design.
I love chairs. Chairs are like people, they each have a unique personality. Some are serious, some quirky, some are feminine while others are masculine. Some are quiet, others are loud and quite noticeable… you get the picture. A great chair can be the inspiration for a room, or just what is needed to complete and make a space special and interesting. In this post I show many examples of great chairs for interior design projects. There is also a book review of Chairs: A History by Florence de Dampierre.
